Light Requirements
These plants love a brightly lit room and being close to a window. However, it is important to avoid them getting any direct sunlight as this will cause burn marks on their leaves.
Watering needs
Philodendron’s do need a constant supply of water. So, try and keep the soil mix evenly moist – but not muddy. They can be allowed to dry out a little bit, especially just the top two cm’s of the soil.
Humidity requirements
Generally, all plants do well with some added humidity.
Fertilizing
Food is always important for any growing plant. During spring and summer fertilize when you water them.
Soil
In time you will find that your plant will start outgrowing its pot and you will need to upsize the pot and give him a fresh mix. They require a well-draining soil mixture that has good moisture retention.
Try and only use a premium indoor potting mix and its always good practice to add in Perlite that will assist with good drainage, plus peat moss and coir husks that will hold in some moisture.
